How to Find an ETF by Code

ETF codes are the quickest way to find the exact Tokyo Stock Exchange ETF you want.

Start with the ETF code

Each Tokyo ETF has a four-digit code. On ETF Note, that code points to one fund page with the fund name, issuer, benchmark, trading unit, and trust fee.

For example, you can open 1308 Listed Index Fund TOPIX, 1475 iShares Core TOPIX ETF, or 2557 SMDAM TOPIX ETF directly from the code.

Search without the code

If you only know the asset manager, start with the companies page. If you know the benchmark or type of exposure, browse themes.

For recently listed funds, the newest ETFs page can help you find codes that are not familiar yet.

Check the ETF page

After you open the code page, compare the benchmark, issuer, fee, listing date, trading unit, and market-maker flag. This helps you confirm that the code matches the ETF you meant to research.
